Sundance (San Antonio) HOA
April 9, 2016 Trails Clean-up!
Saturday, April 9, 2016 From 8 a.m.
Background
Recently the Board of Directors made the decision to have volunteer members take responsibility for the Sundance Trails and Drainage areas to free up capital for the beatification of our entrances. This was carefully considered after many of the members offered to volunteer.
Above Average Rainfall
You may have noticed our trails system took a beating during the recent storms and coupled with above average rain amounts over the last few months our grass is growing as fast as we can cut it.
Please take a little bit of your day and help us make the subdivision amazing for everyone.
Why we need your help:
It is important to have member volunteers for these projects because it saves the association valuable resources and allows the Board of Directors to keep your cost down. The BOD is working diligently to 1) increase reserve funds 2) keep dues from rising 3) plan for future capital improvements (add cool new stuff). The community is well on its way to achieving its plans so please volunteer to better your community.
THE PLAN
Gary made a survey of the entire property on 4/3 and makes these recommendations.
1. On the south side of the pond in the Ridge, clean the property edge and continue up the drainage ditch to Sundance Scape. 3 men, 2 weed eaters, and 1 chain saw. 5 hours
2. On the south side of Citlali at the entrance to Arcadia Ridge. Clean the drainage ditch. 2 men, 1 weed eater. 2 hours
3. At the open space along Sunset Lake at Sunset Farm transfer the limbs and trash to a burn site on the west end of the flood plain. Also the limbs in the drainage ditch from Sungrove View. 2 men, and 1 vehicle 2 hours
4. The open space along Sun Spring needs to be shredded. 2 men, the tractor, & 1 weed eater. 2 hours
5. Travel the walks in the flood plane and remove the large limbs and debris on the trail edges. Consolidate some of the small piles of limbs and restack on a pile on the west end or the east end of the flood plane. 2 men and 1 vehicle. 2 hours
6. Pool and clubhouse sprucing and storage clean out.
The fuel cans are full, plenty of weed eater fuel, and string.
